CityWalk Construction Detour Changes the Walk to Islands of Adventure

Construction for the future Category 10 venue has sent guests on a different route between CityWalk and Islands of Adventure. WDWNT photographed the detour on October 26; construction routes can change, so follow the signs and team member directions when you arrive.

How the CityWalk Detour Reaches Islands of Adventure

The reported route begins near Cinnabon and runs between the Universal Legacy Store and Bigfire toward Antojitos. Guests then turn back toward the lagoon and pass between Bigfire and Margaritaville before rejoining the approach to the park bridge near Lone Palm Airport.

What to Expect Near Category 10 Construction

The photos show construction walls blocking the usual main walkway and temporary ramps along the diverted path. The reported change affects the CityWalk approach rather than the separate Toon Lagoon detour inside Islands of Adventure. Allow a little extra time and check the posted route if you use a wheelchair or stroller.
