Job Title: Blog Writer

Job Description: We are looking for a blog writer to join our team and help us report on the latest news from Universal Studios Orlando, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, CityWalk and the upcoming Epic Universe theme parks. As a blog writer, you will be responsible for researching and writing articles for this website. You should be a reliable and dependable person with excellent writing skills. If you have a passion for Universal Studios and theme parks, this is the perfect gig for you!

As we are currently a non-profit organization, this role is entirely voluntary, and unfortunately you will not be compensated. This role is for individuals wishing to satisfy their creative urges and hone their writing skills. As we seek new revenue streams, we may soon be able to provide compensation for your contributions, such as an Annual Pass, meal reimbursement, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Researching and writing articles for our website on a regular basis. Preferably at least two articles per month.
• Reporting on the latest news from all the park areas related to Universal Studios Orlando.

Requirements:

• Excellent writing skills – You must have a solid understanding of the English language and correct grammar usage.
• Reliable and dependable – You must have the time to contribute at least two posts on the website per month (an article, review, interview, trip report, etc.).
• This is a long-term freelance gig – You must be committed for the long haul.
• You must be at least 21 years old.
• A passion for Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, and Epic Universe.
• Knowledge and experience with WordPress Classic Page Builder and Gutenberg Page Editor or a similar blogging platform/content management system is preferred but not required.
• Most importantly you must have fun and have a passionate and creative personality for reporting Universal Studios news! 🙂

 Nice to have’s:

• Universal Studios Orlando Annual Pass is NOT required, but highly encouraged.
• Proficient in SEO keyword research and article optimization.
