Universal CityWalk Orlando is turning two nightlife venues into limited-time extensions of NBC reality shows this September. Universal’s official announcement confirms a more elaborate The Traitors: New Blood takeover at Universal’s Great Movie Escape and a smaller The Voice overlay at CityWalk’s Rising Star.
The first experience begins September 12, five days before The Traitors: New Blood premieres. The second starts September 21, the same night The Voice season 30 begins its three-night premiere. Both are tied to their shows’ season runs, but Universal has not announced exact closing dates.

The Traitors Bar Takes Over Universal’s Great Movie Escape
From September 12 through the television season, the bars inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape will trade their usual atmosphere for a Scottish-castle-inspired setting. The display includes two authentic costumes worn by host Alan Cumming and a themed photo opportunity.
This is the deeper of the two CityWalk activations. It adds decor, wardrobe pieces, a photo stop, and separate menus in the venue’s Library and Roundtable bars. The experience starts before the show’s September 17 premiere, so visitors do not need to wait for the first episode to see it.
Every Traitors Cocktail and Mocktail at Universal CityWalk
| Library drink | What is in it |
|---|---|
| The Raven | Scotch whisky, blackberry whiskey, cassis liqueur, lemon juice, and ginger beer |
| A Murder in Plain Sight | Prosecco, hibiscus syrup, and lemon juice |
| The Castle at Midnight | Vodka, coffee liqueur, chocolate liqueur, espresso, and chocolate bitters |
| The Secret Passage | Bourbon, agave syrup, orange bitters, and bourbon barrel-aged aromatic bitters |
| The Shield | Apple juice, lemon juice, hibiscus syrup, smoked saline solution, and club soda; nonalcoholic |
| Roundtable drink | What is in it |
|---|---|
| The Faithful | Gin, blue curaçao, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and club soda |
| The New Blood | Cherry rum, dark rum, cassis liqueur, cherry liqueur, lime juice, hibiscus syrup, and barrel-aged spiced cherry bitters |
| The Traitor | Rye whiskey, red Italian bitter, lemon juice, grenadine, simple syrup, barrel-aged spiced cherry bitters, and cocktail foamer |
| The Dagger | Vodka, green Chartreuse liqueur, lime, lychee syrup, and cocktail foamer |
| The Ally | Lemon juice, club soda, blue curaçao, and elderflower syrup; nonalcoholic |
The two mocktails give non-drinkers a way to join the theme. Universal did not publish prices or guarantee that every item will remain available throughout the run.

The Voice Comes to CityWalk’s Rising Star September 21
Beginning September 21, CityWalk’s Rising Star will add The Voice decor and two limited-time cocktails. Blind Audition combines bourbon, lime, honey, and lemon-lime soda. Chair Turner mixes white tequila, triple sec, lime, cranberry, and agave.
Unlike the Great Movie Escape menu, Universal did not announce a mocktail for the Rising Star overlay. The draw here is the natural fit: a television singing competition taking over CityWalk’s guest-karaoke venue. Visitors who want the more immersive photo-and-decor experience should prioritize The Traitors; guests who already planned a karaoke night may find The Voice the easier add-on.
Universal CityWalk Planning Tips for the TV Takeovers
- Choose by date: The Traitors starts September 12; The Voice begins September 21.
- Bring identification: Guests must be 21 or older with valid photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol.
- Check evening rules: Universal’s current policies require many unaccompanied guests under 18 to leave CityWalk at 8 p.m., though listed exemptions apply.
- Confirm before traveling: Exact end dates, prices, and inventory were not included in the announcement. Check venue hours and current offerings on the day of your visit.
If you have time for only one stop, the Great Movie Escape takeover offers more to see even for someone skipping alcohol. If your group wants to sing, Rising Star provides the more participatory night. For more context on the escape-room venue itself, see our look at the secrets inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape.
