Work is reaching the distinctive rockwork beside Mythos Restaurant as the Lost Continent transformation continues at Universal Islands of Adventure. Video published October 16 shows an opening near the water, and a later report from WDWNT described a partly dismantled section with exposed framework.

What the Mythos Restaurant work shows
The October 16 footage shows markings around the opening and a yellow floating barrier in the water nearby. Those details show work around the restaurant; they do not establish that Mythos has closed or that the restaurant building is being demolished. Universal has said Mythos will close in 2027, but has not announced an exact final day. Our earlier report on the restaurant changes explains the announcement.

Lost Continent construction changes a familiar view
Much of the surrounding Lost Continent area has already been cleared. Seeing work reach the restaurant’s waterfront rockwork makes the change feel closer to one of the land’s most recognizable details. In our view, that setting is part of what makes Mythos distinctive; the latest progress is a good reason for fans to appreciate the view while they can.

Planning a visit to Mythos
Universal’s Mythos Restaurant listing provides dining information, menus and a reservation link. If you hope to visit, check the current listing and follow posted paths around construction; park admission is required.
