Jurassic Park River Adventure’s refurbishment has reached a more recognizable stage: new aerial photos show rebuilt paddock walls and familiar dinosaur figures in position. Photographer bioreconstruct shared three views of the rebuilt paddock on October 4, including a view of the Parasaurolophus. The photos offer a closer look at the work on the closed Islands of Adventure ride, but they do not establish that it is ready to reopen.

Jurassic Park River Adventure’s Dinosaurs Are Visible Again
A second set of October 4 aerial photos focuses on the Ultrasaurus and Stegosaurus. The Stegosaurus can be seen beside the rocky scenery along the waterway. That is useful evidence of how the existing Jurassic Park scenes are taking shape; the photographs do not tell us whether a figure is new, repaired or fully operational.

The Ultrasaurus is visible above another section of the channel, with work still apparent around it. Seeing a dinosaur back in its setting is different from seeing it perform during a ride. Movement, show timing and the rest of the attraction’s systems cannot be assessed from these aerial stills, so the figures’ presence should not be treated as a completed refurbishment announcement.

What the Refurbishment Photos Mean for an Islands of Adventure Visit
The clearest update is visible progress on the ride’s existing setting. The photos provide no confirmation of a Jurassic World conversion or a new reopening date. Before planning River Adventure into your day, check Universal’s live park-hours and closure information. Our Universal Orlando refurbishment guide collects the listed closures, and the Islands of Adventure guide covers the rest of the park.
