Volcano Bay Nights Returns to Universal Orlando for Summer 2026

Universal Volcano Bay Nights is coming back for summer 2026, and this one is worth looking at if you like the idea of doing the water park after the worst of the afternoon heat has backed off.

The limited-capacity after-hours event runs on select nights from May 3 through August 21, 2026. Tickets are on sale now for $99 plus tax per person, with parking included for the event. Universal Orlando Annual and Seasonal Passholders can save 10% with a valid pass and photo ID.

Volcano Bay Nights 2026 Dates

Universal has confirmed 13 event dates for Volcano Bay Nights in 2026:

  • May 3, 10, 17, 22 and 31
  • June 5, 12, 18 and 25
  • July 10 and 17
  • August 7, 14 and 21

The event officially starts at 7 p.m., but ticketed guests can enter Volcano Bay as early as 4 p.m. That early entry window is a big part of the value here because it gives you daylight pool and slide time before the after-hours part begins.

What’s Included With Volcano Bay Nights

Volcano Bay Nights is a separate-ticket event, so it is not the same thing as buying a regular daytime water park ticket. Universal says the event includes lower wait times for popular attractions, access to select Volcano Bay rides, character meet-and-greets, entertainment, complimentary snacks, and a souvenir Freestyle cup for Coca-Cola beverage refills during the event.

The attraction list named by Universal includes Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko’okiri Body Plunge, and TeAwa the Fearless River. That is a strong lineup if your group wants to headline Volcano Bay experiences without spending a full summer day in the park.

Universal also confirmed a Beach Bash at Waturi Beach with a live DJ, plus meet-and-greets with DreamWorks Animation characters from Shrek and Madagascar. For families, that gives the event a little more shape than simply “water slides at night.”

Food, Drinks and Cabana Details

Two complimentary snack items are part of the event: Blue Raspberry Churro Bites and Garlic Parmesan-Flavored Popcorn. Universal says specialty food and beverage items will also be available for purchase at select locations around the park.

The included Freestyle cup is useful if your group drinks a lot of soda or wants easy refills through the night. It is not a full meal replacement, though, so plan dinner separately if you are arriving hungry at 4 p.m. For more general meal planning around the resort, our Universal Food Guide can help you compare park and CityWalk options.

Private cabanas are also available during the event, starting at $199.99 plus tax. Universal says cabanas must be booked in the park at concierge huts on the day of the event and are first-come, first-served.

Is Volcano Bay Nights Worth It?

For the right trip, it can be. Volcano Bay is beautiful at night, and lower waits at a water park can make a huge difference because you are not standing barefoot in the midday sun between slides.

The strongest case is for guests who want a shorter, more focused Volcano Bay visit instead of committing a full park day. The 4 p.m. entry time also helps if you are spending the morning at another Universal park, relaxing at a hotel, or building a lighter day around the water park.

The weaker case is for families who need a slow all-day pool-and-water-park schedule, especially with younger kids who fade early at night. In that case, a regular daytime ticket or a resort pool day may fit better.

Ticket Tips Before You Buy

Because Volcano Bay Nights is a separate-ticket event, compare it against the rest of your Universal Orlando plans before buying. If your trip is already built around Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, or Epic Universe, this event may work best as an add-on for a lighter evening rather than a replacement for a full theme park day.

Also check the live ticket terms before checking out. Event dates, availability, passholder discounts, and cabana access can change. Our Universal Orlando discount tickets guide is a helpful place to compare broader ticket options if you are still building the full trip.
