Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment is scheduled to close December 11–15, 2026, at Epic Universe. Universal’s temporary-closure calendar lists the five-day outage but does not give a reason. If Frankenstein Manor is the centerpiece of your visit, those are the December dates to check before committing to a park day.
Fyre Drill closes November 9 and 10
The same calendar lists Fyre Drill as unavailable November 9–10, 2026, with another closure January 25–February 4, 2027. These dates apply to the water-cannon boat ride in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, not the entire land. As with Monsters Unchained, Universal has not supplied a reason on the closure listing, and schedules can change.
Planning a Dark Universe visit in December
In our view, fans making a trip specifically for Monsters Unchained should plan around its closure rather than count on Curse of the Werewolf as a substitute: a spinning coaster and a monster-filled dark ride offer very different experiences. Our Monsters Unchained guide explains what makes the attraction distinctive. Universal has separately announced a new indoor Dark Universe coaster; the closure calendar does not connect this temporary outage to that project.
