Major Rumors Suggest the Return of Ghostbusters to Universal Studios Florida!

Universal Studios Florida may soon be bringing back a beloved classic for all of the Ghostbusters fans out there. Rumors are swirling that the iconic franchise may make a comeback in multiple forms, including a new parade, a lagoon show, and possibly even a new attraction.

For those who remember, Ghostbusters was once a favorite attraction at Universal Studios Florida. From its opening in 1990 until its closure in 1996, the “Ghostbusters Spooktacular” special effects show thrilled and entertained park guests. Despite its closure, the Ghostbusters have continued to make appearances in the park throughout the years through various street shows and meet-and-greets.

Now, it seems that the Ghostbusters may be returning to their original home at Universal Studios Florida in a big way. The first rumored addition to the park is a new parade, set to debut later this year. Unlike the previous kid-friendly parade, this new one is said to feature classic Universal film franchises, like Back to the Future, Jaws, ET, Jurassic Park, and, of course, Ghostbusters. There are also rumors that a replica of the iconic Ecto-1 vehicle will be featured in the parade.

But that’s not all – there’s also talk of a brand new Lagoon show coming to Universal Studios Florida. This show is expected to be bigger and better than any previous ones, with taller fountains, more pyrotechnics, and possibly even drones. It’s also rumored that this show will feature even more classic properties than before, including Ghostbusters.

In addition to these two major additions, there are also rumors that Ghostbusters may make an appearance in this year’s summer tribute store at the park. And for those Halloween Horror Nights fans out there, there are whispers of a possible Ghostbusters-themed haunted house for the event.

But perhaps the most exciting rumor of all is the possibility of a full-blown attraction based on Ghostbusters. While it’s unclear exactly what form this attraction may take, some believe that a version of the technology used in the new Minion ride at Universal Studios Florida may have been originally intended for a Ghostbusters attraction. Another rumored concept is the return of a special effects show based on the franchise, possibly utilizing a Peppers ghost effect similar to the original show.

With all of these rumors swirling, it’s clear that Universal Studios Florida has big plans for the Ghostbusters franchise. And with recent reports of Universal re-licensing the property, it seems that these rumors may hold some truth.

Fans of Ghostbusters can expect to see their favorite characters make regular appearances in the park once again, whether it be through various shows and experiences or even just meet-and-greets. And for those hoping for a new attraction or show, it may be just a matter of time.

So get ready to bust some ghosts, because it looks like the Ghostbusters are coming back to Universal Studios Florida in a big way. From parades and lagoon shows to possible new attractions, there’s no doubt that this beloved franchise will be a major presence in the park once again. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting news as they become available!
