The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is getting a darker fall overlay at both Universal Orlando parks. Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle returns to Hogsmeade for the first time since 2022, while Death Eaters will again be found in Diagon Alley.

Two parks, two versions of Dark Arts
Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle will run on select nights from September 5 through November 1 in Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure. The projection show uses lights, music, special effects, and projection mapping to bring Dementors, Death Eaters, and Voldemort’s forces onto the castle.

Death Eaters return before the castle show begins
At Universal Studios Florida, Death Eaters will prowl Diagon Alley on select days and nights from August 27 through November 1. Universal specifically points visitors toward Knockturn Alley and Borgin and Burkes, making this an easy stop for fans who want a Harry Potter activity without waiting for the Hogsmeade nighttime show.

Why this matters for a fall visit
These are daytime-admission experiences, not part of Halloween Horror Nights, so they give Potter fans an alternative on regular park days. The two locations are in separate parks; guests who want to move between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade on the Hogwarts Express will need park-to-park admission. Our park-to-park ticket guide can help decide whether that upgrade fits the trip.
Universal is also releasing a second-generation interactive wand modeled after Voldemort’s wand. Which experience would you prioritize: Death Eaters in Diagon Alley or Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle? Let us know in the comments below; we would love to hear your plans.
