Burger Battle at Universal Orlando: The Ultimate Guide to Finding the Best Patty in the Park

When it comes to theme park food, there are a few items that reign supreme: chicken fingers, hot dogs, and, of course, the classic American burger. And at a place like Universal Orlando, where there are countless options for food, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and wonder which burger is truly the best.

Well, wonder no more! In this burger battle, we’ll be exploring four of the most popular and newest quick-service restaurants at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure to determine which burger reigns supreme. So buckle up, because it’s going to be a wild ride filled with juicy patties and mouth-watering toppings.

*Please note that Wimpy’s was under construction and was not part of this burger battle.

First up on our burger tour is Mel’s Drive-In at Universal Studios. This retro-themed restaurant is a fan favorite, with its classic American vibe and delicious burgers. We decided to try out their specialty burger, the “Big Bopper Burger,” which comes with bacon, onion rings, and a side of fries.

After taking our first bites, we were pleasantly surprised by how good the burger was. The bacon was crispy, and the onion rings added a nice crunch. The barbecue sauce tied everything together, making it a solid theme park burger option. However, it didn’t necessarily blow us away, and we couldn’t help but wonder if there were better burgers out there.

Next up, we made our way over to Springfield at Universal Studios’ Fast Food Boulevard, also known as Krusty Burger. Here, we ordered their specialty burger, the “Clogger,” which features double patties, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and their signature “Krusty Sauce.”

As soon as our burgers arrived at our table, we knew we were in for a messy experience. And boy, we were right. This burger was huge and messy in all the right ways. It kind of reminded us of a Big Mac, but on steroids. While the taste was good, we couldn’t help but feel like it was just too much. It almost felt illegal to be eating such a giant burger at a theme park. And although we enjoyed it, we don’t think it’s something we would order again anytime soon.

Moving onto our third stop, we found ourselves at Burger Digs in Islands of Adventure. This restaurant is located in the Jurassic Park section of the park and offers a variety of burgers, including build-your-own options. We opted for their “Casado Burger” with cheddar cheese and bacon, accompanied by a side of onion rings.

We were astounded by the patty’s quality after taking our first bites. It had a homemade taste and was cooked to perfection. We loved the addition of bacon and cheese, and the onion rings were a nice touch. Overall, this burger stood out from the rest, and we couldn’t wait to take our next bite.

The final stop on our burger tour took us to Circus McGurkus at Islands of Adventure. This whimsical restaurant is situated in Seuss Landing and offers a fun atmosphere for families to enjoy. Here, we tried their “Burger Circus,” which features a half-pound beef patty topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

After devouring our burgers, we were pleasantly surprised by how good they were. The beef patty was juicy and full of flavor, and all the toppings worked together harmoniously. We also couldn’t help but notice that the bun was slightly different from the other restaurants we tried, adding a unique touch to the overall taste.

After sampling four different burgers from some of the most popular quick-service restaurants at Universal Orlando, it was time to rank them from best to worst (although none were truly “bad”). In fourth place was Krusty Burger’s “Clogger,” due to its messiness and overwhelming size. In third place was Mel’s Drive-In’s “Big Bopper Burger,” which was good but not necessarily memorable. Coming in second place was Circus McGurkus’ “Burger Circus,” which impressed us with its tasty patty and unique bun. And finally, in first place, we have Burger Digs “Casado Burger,” which had the best patty and overall taste out of all the burgers we tried.

So there you have it, folks! After battling it out in the ultimate burger showdown, Burger Digs at Islands of Adventure takes home the crown for the best quick-service burger at Universal Orlando. But don’t just take our word for it, try them all for yourself and see which one comes out on top for you. Happy eating!

Do you prefer classic burger options like the “Big Bopper Burger” or more unique creations like the “Clogger” or “Casado Burger”?
