Halloween Horror Nights 2026 is now open at Universal Studios Florida, and the biggest planning news goes well beyond the 10 haunted houses. The 35th-anniversary event runs for 49 select nights through November 1 with two live shows, more than 50 food and drink choices, a returning New York Tribute Store, hotel lounges and a first-ever HamiKuma meet-and-greet.

HHN 2026 Is More Than the Houses
The event’s core lineup includes 10 houses and four scare zones, but Universal has built a fuller night around them. Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins is a lagoon show using water screens, lighting, audio and music from the series. Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir returns to the theater format with acrobatics and a vampire-themed story.
Those shows matter because they give guests a seated or lower-intensity break without leaving the event. The best time to use one is usually when house waits peak, especially if your group is staying until closing.
The Food Lineup Follows the 2026 Houses
Universal tied several headline dishes directly to the intellectual-property houses. Annie’s Juke Joint Catfish & Grits represents Sinners; El’s Battery Jerky adds garlic bread and jerky to mac and cheese for Stranger Things 5; the Pleasure & Pain Brain pairs custard with vanilla cake for Hellraiser.
Ozzy Osbourne’s house gets a three-tier carrot cake with cream cheese mousse and a chocolate bat, while Evil Dead Burn inspires a pork-and-chili-crisp pot-sticker lasagna. These are event portions rather than a substitute for every guest’s full meal, so splitting two or three items is the practical way to sample more without losing much house time.
The original-house side includes the CarnEVIL Smash Taco, Jack & Odd Dog and Rigatoni Ritual Pie. The pie is sold at Louie’s Italian Restaurant, making it easier to pair with indoor seating than many outdoor booth items.
Drinks, Passholder Items and Hotel Options
Specialty cocktails include Hopper’s Recharger, Slide Guitar Smash, Cenobite’s Kiss, Black Rain and Frostbite. Universal also created canned Jack and Oddfellow drinks with Florida breweries. Guests who plan to drink should build in food and water early; the event’s long walks and late hours make pacing more important than checking off every menu item.
Annual Passholders can order Cannoli Chips at Guido’s Gelato inside Louie’s and the Alien! cocktail at Dead Coconut Club. Passholders, Universal hotel guests and Universal Rewards Visa Cardmembers may also use the Keyholder Bar near Music Plaza Stage.
All 11 Universal Orlando hotels offer seasonal cocktails. Most hotels, except Stella Nova and Terra Luna, add late-night lobby food; Portofino Bay and Royal Pacific have limited-time items at The Thirsty Fish and Jake’s American Bar. HamiKuma and the Tribute Store Add Two Stops
HamiKuma has an expanded merchandise range and a new meet-and-greet inside Five & Dime. That makes the Hollywood shop a purposeful stop rather than something guests will naturally pass between every house.
The HHN Tribute Store has returned to New York, to the left of Revenge of the Mummy. Its 2026 theme, Sideshow Obscura, uses a traveling-sideshow story across the entrance, backstage areas and midway. Shop early if a specific size or collectible matters; shop late if carrying merchandise through houses sounds worse than risking sellouts.
How to Build a Better HHN Night
Start with your highest-priority houses, then use food and shows when waits climb. Treat merchandise and HamiKuma as scheduled stops instead of distractions between every queue.
