From Blueprints to Reality: Epic Universe Is Now Open

Universal’s Epic Universe has transformed from a construction site “racing against time” into a fully operational theme park that has expanded Universal Orlando Resort from three to four parks. The park officially opened on May 22, 2025, following a celebrity and executive preview event, and has since welcomed guests from around the world to experience its five themed lands.
The construction updates we once tracked—from ride testing to carousel permits—have all culminated in a park that TIME Magazine has named one of the World’s Greatest Places, beating out Disney’s own parks.
Celestial Park: The Hub Is Now Open

The heart of Epic Universe, Celestial Park, is now welcoming guests with its cascading waterfalls and the exquisite Atlantic Restaurant. The Constellation Carousel that was once under construction with “intricate structural details and themed ride cars” is now operational and serving as the captivating centerpiece we anticipated.
Also now open in Celestial Park are Starfall Racers and the mysterious Dark Universe, inspired by Universal Monsters, which have indeed “raised excitement levels to stellar heights” as we predicted.
